3 Mile Story

3 Mile Smile from Knoxville, TN was formed as an acoustic band by husband and wife duo Becki Grace Livingston and Jeff Livingston in the spring of 2013. They released their debut CD in the spring of 2015 and in March 2018 the release of LIVE CD! The third EP titled Three was released 2021, and they are finishing recording new music to be released as a fourth album in 2021.

Jeff & Becki Grace each had a long history in music before they realized they should be making music together.  The couple joined with Jeff's long-time friend, Geezer Simms, to play covers and started playing around their hometown at coffee houses, bars, restaurants, airplane hangers, clubs, and anywhere else they could sharpen their teeth.  After two years, Geezer left the band just before they went into the studio to record their first all-original album with Danny Brown of Southern Sound Studio, so the duo had a few friends sit in on the album to help fill out the sound.  They were fortunate to debut that album at Rhythm N Blooms Music Festival in Knoxville in April of 2015 along with the help of good friends David Hodges, Darby Crigger, and Zach Rock. Jeff shocked Becki Grace and the audience when he proposed marriage during their set, and, of course, she said yes!

Their sophomore album was recorded live during a performance on October 7, 2016, by world renowned engineer Taylor Johnson, and it was produced and mastered by award winning producer Arty Congero, both with Fix N Mix Studio in Knoxville.  The band is known for Becki Grace's powerful soulful vocals laid over Jeff's tasteful guitar.  Other contributions to the band's sound include strong rhythm by bass, percussion, and drums, as well as beautiful accents and lead by fiddle, mandolin, harmonica, and electric guitar. The group's dynamic has matured over the last eight years and evolved into a tight live show.

While the band was eagerly working to release their fourth album (Lost and Found), a three-song EP (Three) was released as a surprise in January 2021.  Within a week, Jeff Livingston was killed in a car accident.  Within two months, founding member Geezer Simms passed away due to health. The rest of the members of the band decided to finish the final album as a tribute and memorial to Jeff Livingston and as his farewell to us all.

It is hoped that you will support this band by checking out their music, signing up for their email list, and sharing your smiling face.  You can also like and follow them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube to keep up with them on social media.

Lost and Found will officially be available August 7, 2021.
